I drive private hire in the west of Scotland. Most of what gets repeated between drivers about licensing, low emission zones, and compliance turns out to be a secondhand version of a secondhand version — sometimes right, sometimes a year out of date, sometimes just wrong. The Glasgow LEZ page on this site exists because I went looking for a straight answer on exemptions and found three different confident claims before I checked the council's own page and found none of them were quite right.
Every guide here links to the primary source — the actual council, Transport Scotland, or government page — for anything it states as fact. If a rule changes, the source link is how you check it, not just my word.
